Independent Community Projects in Kibera, Nairobi

Apart from the construction projects that we initiate and implement in partnership with others, there are also independent TwistBlock construction initiatives by the local population in Kibera. This is an encouraging development as it signifies the acceptance of our technology by the community. Such acceptance is a crucial element in achieving and scaling change from within for better living conditions for the ones in need.

In Kibera, we have observed that the use of TwistBlocks extends beyond private housing. The innovative construction material has also been used to build several street stores by local entrepreneurs. Moreover, a school is currently being built using TwistBlocks. We are very happy to witness the growing adoption of TwistBlocks in Kibera!
